BARDSTOWN, KY – JUNE 1, 2022: Jackie “Jackrabbit” Allen, 63, walks past a swingset with his wife, Cindy, on the property where they raised two children and now, a granddaughter named Zoey. The 260 acre plot has been under the Allen family's care for decades, but its future is uncertain. “I wish I had all the money I lost farming,” Jackrabbit said. “I loved doing it.”
