Judy Rivers of Cullman, Alabama, sits in the RV that has been her temporary home for the past two years. When the credit system declared her dead in 2010, Rivers struggled to get a job because she failed background checks and no longer had a credit history. In May 2012, she was finally "resurrected" and once again able to open a checking account. In her spare time, Rivers researches the surprisingly regular phenomenon of credit deaths in America, with the hope of helping others who share her predicament.
